Bring Your Bird
Many of our meetings and events are bird-friendly!
Bring your feathered friend out for a change of scenery as well as an opportunity to participate and socialize with other parrot-savvy owners.
* Note - there are no meetings from June to August, however we often plan an informal summer get-together, typically held at the end of July.
Bring an ingredient and some baggies and join us for our Chop Potluck. Parrots need a variety of fresh vegetables, fruit, grains, legumes and more in their daily diet. Making Chop on your own can be a lot of work. It's much more fun with friends!
Pick a toy design to suit your feathered friend and the gentleman at Treats For Tweets will show you how to do the rest! All supplies and instruction are provided. Bring your bird - they love to be involved!
Edmonton's resident avian medicine specialist, Dr. Mandrusiak from Harvest Pointe Veterinary Animal, gave an informative and fun presentation on what to do incase of an emergency. Did you know not all veterinary practices will accept avian patients?
An informative and eye-opening presentation by Robin Horemans from Parrot SOS. As a certified avian trainer and behaviour coach, she provided great information on understanding parrot behaviour and how we can provide them with agency and choice in their daily lives to reduce unwanted behaviours.
This annual summer event offers a chance to picnic with our parrots in the park! Fresh air, sunshine, and a BBQ always makes for a great time with friends.
